S.L.Greek @ Possibilities Art Studio

S.L.Greek's route to gallery owner, art patron and artist was a circuitous one. She earned a degree in fashion design and art, and moved to New York City, the heart of the fashion and art world. While working for advertising agencies, Greek spent all of her free time drawing and painting. As her skills matured, her 1960's fashion models turned into nudes and landscapes. This artist paints powerful, contemporary styled landscapes in palettes of complementary colors and nudes with softer colors in a more defined style.

After 22 years in NYC, S.L. Greek moved to Pacific Grove, California and began working in fashion in Carmel while dreaming of opening a gallery in the style of the 1940's Carmel art studios. She wanted a studio to work in that would double as a gallery, which would show the public how fine art was created. She also wanted to give new and emerging artists a place to showcase their work.

In December 2004, S.L. Greek found her studio and art gallery in Pacific Grove, the perfect space to fulfill her dream became Possibilities Art Studio & Gallery.

S.L Greek holds a B.A in art and fashion design from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee WI. During her years in NYC Ms Greek continued her education taking drawing and watercolor painting at the Art Students League. Computer Graphics at The New School for Social Research. She studied Painting at Parsons School of Design with Stephan Ang. She attended fashion illustration classes at The Fashion Institute of Technology where she studied with Steven Stipleman. Upon her arrival to the Central Coast Ms Greek participated in the workshops of local artist Lauryn Taylor.
